Think of this as an MOT for your bike. We check your bicycle for wear and functionality across all of it’s components, identifying and assessing any issues and drawing up a detailed estimate specific to your bike. Issues with bicycle operation can be a result of worn or incorrectly adjusted parts in a multitude of combinations. By taking the time to thoroughly check over a bike, we can ensure that all existing and potential issues are accurately identified and addressed.
For every bike we service, we create a thorough and detailed estimate for work (including both parts and labour costs) which addresses all issues identified in our initial bike check.
The labour cost for gear indexing, basic brake adjustments, basic wheel truing, drivetrain clean and re-lube and a full torque and safety check is already rolled into the £75 Ready To Ride cost, however any further in depth work or part replacements required will be listed here.
We get in touch via phone and give you the chance to ask any and all questions in relation to the recommended work, as well as say no to any specific work items should you desire to do so.
Be assured ….
We won’t proceed with any work until everything has been agreed, meaning no surprise bills!
Once the proposed work has been agreed upon we start work on your bike! During this time we will be in contact should there be any developments with the work on your bike that may incur a further cost or cause a delay in turnaround time.
We try our best to create a precise estimate from our initial bike check, however in some circumstances, issues only become apparent once work has begun and parts are removed or added to a bike.
In these eventualities we will be in contact before progressing with any work that may result in a larger final bill than initially agreed.
After all part replacements and in depth work have been completed, we ensure that your drivetrain is clean and relubricated, carry out a thorough torque check of all major bolts on the bicycle and ensure that it is test ridden by at least two of our staff members to ensure quality of work.
We won’t sign off on a job until we are happy that all work has been completed to the highest standard and that the bike is functioning as close to perfect as is possible given it’s components and condition.
Once a bike has had it’s work complete and has been fully signed off, we will be in contact to notify you that pickup is available.
We have limited space for bike storage within our premises, we do ask that, unless agreed in advance, you come to collect your bike within a week of job completion.
